Ocular Myasthenia Gravis

Myasthenia Gravis is a condition where the body’s immune system interferes with the receptors for the neurotransmitter that tells muscles to move. The affected muscles tire easily, which causes weakness. This weakness fluctuates and is usually worse by  the end of the day. In Ocular myasthenia the extraocular muscles (the muscles that control the eyes and eyelids) are affected. This can cause double vision or drooping eyelids, which interfere with vision.
