Charles Bonnet Syndrome
Written By Sam Scarles
Charles Bonnet Syndrome describes visual hallucinations (seeing things which are not real) and is caused by failing eyesight. The hallucinations can be simple patterns, or vivid images of events, people or places. They are just visual and do not involve any other senses. Their exact cause is unknown but are associated with reduced vision. They are not related to mental health problems or dementia.
