Multi-Vision
Samantha Leftwich
“Multi-Vision” - shows Lizzie my Guide Dog laying on some grass with grey cloudy sky and water from a reservoir at Grafton Water in Cambridge. I have edited the image by layering three images of her looking in different directions. You should be able to spot three noses in the photo. Her eye has been lined up with each other. This photo represents the double vision I have when I do not have my left eye covered up as the images both my eyes see are so drastically different they no longer work together anymore meaning my brain isn’t able to bring the two images together. As part of my condition I have a skirt which has formed on the edges of my retina which causes things to look like they are moving or waving when they are stationary. I often think Lizzie is moving when she is standing or sitting still. This photo holds great sentiment as Lizzie and I literally do everything together. Wherever I go Lizzie goes, or should I say wherever Lizzie goes I go as she’s the one guiding me.
